15/2-40 Joined 3rd riflekompani 2grp, sendt from TRONDHEIM to MARKAJARVI on SALA front until 13th April 1940. Kom seg til Norge, og kom DREVSJØ - SÄRNA - Stockholm, STRIMASUND til Mo i Rana 17/5-40. Dagen etter til Sverige via STRIMASUND så via TORNIO til SVANVIK. Derfra til PETSAMO - tilbake til SVANVIK, fant en båt som skulle til Mosjøen, og fikk lift til Namskogan, hjemme.

14/5-1941 dro han til Sverige igjen. Øreryd til 22/7-41 og jobbet som skogsarbeider Skogvaktar Israkson til februar 1942. Ble plaget med ryggen, dro til Oslo 1/3-42, deretter Stockholm igjen. Han fikk plass på BOAC den 17/4-42.

Han var i kontakt med Anne Waring på den Britiske Legasjonen, og fikk der tydeligvis et oppdrag på VIKNA via henne. Navnet på oppdragsgiver er sladdet, men jeg tipper E.M.M.Nielsen er mannen. "Tommy/Tom Nielsen", tidligere britisk konsul i Skien m.m.

"He got an introduction to Mrs, Waring of the British Legation in Stockholm, via a friend from ØRERYD, Johannes Bjørnland. It transpired that Bjørnland had been workig on behalf of the British Legation and had divulged this fact to ØSTGAARD. Mrs Waring gave him a letter of introduction to"---" Stockholm who sent him on a special mission to Norway where he remains for two to three wekks, returing to "----" with the information which was required by him. He stated that he promised "----" solemly to keep the matter a stright secret and devulge only to ROGNES of the Norwegian Legation.

In view of the fact that this man has been vouched for by S.0.2. as an accredited agent, I did not press ØSTGAARD too much with regard to his work on account of the British legation in Stockholm.
