Bob Evans, Able seaman
Beskrivelse
Evans was taken prisoner soon after being left by Larsen's party and received medical treatment. He was then handed over to the head of the Gestapo in Trondheim, Gerhard Flesch.[59] Flesch transferred Evans to senior Kriegsmarine officers for questioning about the details of Operation Title. When this was completed the officers returned Evans to Flesch despite knowing that the Gestapo was likely to kill him. Evans was then taken to Oslo, where on 19 January 1943 he was shot as a saboteur.
The murder of Evans was personally authorised by Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, the chief of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (the German military's high command). The killing of Evans was one of the incidents for which Keitel and Flesch were separately prosecuted after the war. Both were found guilty of war crimes, and executed.
