1. Sea crossing very poor visibility, cleared up forwarding Norwegian coast. Pinpointed OSE on northern tip of BYGLANDSFJORD and made DR run from there to target. Saw reception on approach of A/C three white light and white flashing letter B. Dropped load in one run from 400' leading 240, IAS 135 mph. Drop was made up centre light and land in behind slightly overshoot.
2. Thick cloud over sea but clear over Norway. DR run from OSE pinpointed on tip of ARALES FJORD at the same time getting a GEE FIX. From there made run to target which was clearly identified by ground detail and another GEE FIX. Circled target for 11 minutes but no reception seen. There were a number of lights in the village HANGESTALEN where the reception should have been, but they were definitely lights from houses, not reception lights.
