2. Andrews was intercepted by enemy fighter just after leaving the Norwegian coast onn return. THe birst burst from fighter put the turret out of action and cut off intercom to this position. The fighter was very persistand and made ten to twelvve attacks during the next half hour amusing much damage to the aircraft including shooting away a portion of the port ailaren and of the bombdoors, punctuation the port main wheel and tail wheel, and puttoing thw DR compass unserviceable.
