Kroderen lakes, and reception. 3 white lights seen in line. A/C flashed N, reception gave P. and a red light seen. A/c circled to lose height, and low cloud drifting up the valley obscured the lights as A/c was running up. Further search failed to detect lights again, trough cloud 400 ' A.G.L
Crew very disappointed not to drop, but could not have cone so with accuracy. They suggest red lights in future for snow conditions, as white lights do not show up well against moonlit snow

6/10 cloud at DZ. Valleys moslty covered, hill tops above clod. 255/432 8000'AGL. Very good trip but unlucky for drop to be spoled by low cloud, Oxygen would be appreciated. White lights did not stand out well in svow covered DZ.

Cloud 10/10 most of trip and DZ. Wind 255/35mph. On journey icing very bad. Gave order to standby for baling out, Nav, bomb aimer, WOP and Fl.eng baled out /without beeing told) at approx. 58.15N-06.05E, They did not acknowledge instructions and just baled out without a word.
