1. Captains report:
Stirling E7V LJ996 on SOE Operation HALTER I in Norway, captained by F/O Rodgers, carrying 10 containers and 3 packages. Clear weather but ran itno cloud over the North Sea with violent electrical storms and very rough conditions. Hail and snow was encountered but A/C flew at 500-1000' to avoid icing. Weather cleared up pover Norway and conditions was perfect with moon and good visibility. Bad weather again experienced on return and A/C landed at RACKHEAT to refuel, returning to base later. GEE was u/s most of trip owing to storms. Bad weather - PP not found .RTB.
