1. 26.02.45 19:10 03:45 SOE Flank 2. F/O Connel was sucessful in dropping his full load with the exetion of one container which hang up. He encountered a great deal of cloud aorund the DZ area, but after persisting for awhile, he found a gap and was able to go down and drop. He reported no enemy activity of any circumstance.
We arrived at DZ 23:24 and found a break in the cloud with the reception right below. Reception was very good, 3 white and one red flashing very clearly. Load aws dropped by the signal light. We had one container hang up due to tecknical trouble. Weather cloudy all the was, one clearr patch of about 5 miles at DZ.
2. 26.02.45 19:05 04:05 Five aircraft was detailed to take part in the above operations, one of which returned early owing to compass difficulties. The remaining four aircraft carried out the operation, but only two was sucessfully dropped their loads. Weather at takeoff was good, but some clouds was experienced enroute, but this broke up and disperced towards the Norwegian coast. Only very small patches of cloud beeing encountered in the dropping zone, but at the actoal dropping zone the weather was clear. Weather also was good on the return journey, but on arrival at Base the weather was found to have detereicated. No enemy oppisition was eoncountred thrughout the trip.
We arrived DZ 23:27 and found good reception line of lights flashing "B". We dropped the load OK but due to cloud we had to keep fairly high, would land approx. on lights. Weather cloudy and ground haze.
