1. Captains report.
Halifax aircraft "V" 272 took off on operation COMPANY captained by F/Lt Perrins, Target FRANCE (Feil NORWAY) Operation completed. Landed BASE 03:05.
Pinpoint clearly identified in good visibility so very clear areas could be found in vicnity, the country beeing very wooded.Pinpoint over a new railwaystation Agents requested to be dropped into the woods about one mile SE of the pinpoint. Only 7 minutes spent in area, Dp'd from 600', ABG, leading 030° at 135 mph. Agents jumped well, packages OK.
The agents were not all happy for their pinpoint, saying that a railway junction about 2 miles West of the pinpoint . They particullary asked before take off that the A/C should spend the minimum of time in the area.
