Einar Skinnarland Skinnerland, was dropped in the county of Telemark to establish radiocontact and prepare the ground for the main ‘Grouse’ party, which was due to arrive at the end of April. The aim was to build an independent guerrilla organisation in the Telemark/Rjukan area.

Skinnerland was dropped on the night of 28- 29 March. He was instructed to deliver arms to Milorg and advise them that the organisation in Telemark would operate independently. Skinnerland made contact with SL during June 1942. The second ‘Grouse’ party, under Jens Poulsson was unable to leave Britain before the lighter nights began to take effect in May.
